Not yell at me, said the deaf

I don't know if I told this already, but I'm doing the management training with the Human Resorces trainers of UWN (Dawn Ripley and Paula Lafford) and as a part or induction course I'm doing a lot of interesting trainings that I really enjoy! In order to this I´m learning a lot about comunication, this thing that for me is a little bit more difficult because english is not my first language! In any case is very interesting that when you try to comunicate with people is your responsability to do yourself understand, and for this the best thing is to know others (who you want to comunicate with). In the case of careers seeking, when you apply for a job sending a cover letter and a Cv the importance is try to understand what company say about the vacancy, requeriments for successful candidates, etc. In this way you can prepare your cover letter and you cv giving exactly the information that they are asking for, if we see this seeking in a global perspective is not the same format of aplication in Uk than in others countries, but we can see interestings tools like europass (European Curriculum bodel), but it doesn't means that Europass is using in all the companies in europe, some can don't know about it and another can know about this but ask for another kind of cv/aplication. In any case how much information you have of the caracteristics of the vacancy you are applying better! And if you are successful maybe you can be callback for a interview, the interviews are another way of comunications, so is important to be careful about who is going to be in the panel for example (because human resources have different perspective more about social skills as teamwork or leadership and accounting departent would know more about your specific knowledge in this area of the candidates). From careers we are here to help you with this issues, you can use careers appointment to talk about interviews or cvs, and for short queries you can go to the careers drop in, but also we do event as Employerfest (tomorrow in the city campus; I will be there promoting international experience!) when we try to put you in contact with employers givin you the opportunity to have a view what they are looking for, contact them and maybe give them your Cv!
But we like also to have feedback from you and know what are you looking for, who we are helping you and who we can improve our service to be able to help you more!
